Casting - flexible manufacturing of complex metal components

Casting involves pouring molten metal into a mold made for the purpose. There the metal is allowed to solidify. The mold can be either a disposable or a permanent mold. The disposable mold is used up during casting and the permanent mold is reused several times.

Our process

Mold making

The mold is designed according to the geometry of the component. Depending on the volume of the series, disposable or permanent molds are chosen.

Melting of metals

The material is heated until it reaches molten form and is carefully checked to ensure the correct temperature and purity.

Molding

The molten metal is poured into the mold and allowed to fill in all the details before being left to cool and solidify.

Post-processing and control

The mold is removed, the casting is cleaned and any edges are removed. Finally, the part is checked to ensure that all dimensions and properties are met.
